Kiebert shines in loss to Panthers
COEUR d’ALENE — Senior Lyndsie Kiebert poured in a season-high 21 points, but Clark Fork couldn’t match the size of Coeur d’Alene Charter, falling 45-32 in nonleague girls basketball on Thursday.
Kiebert was an impressive 10-12 from the free throw line, and also posted three assists and three rebounds, and Callie Potter scored 10 points, as the pair scored all but one of the points for the Wampus Cats (0-8).
“Lyndsie took control, and her and Callie got open,” said Cats head coach Mark Stevens, who was playing without starting post Annie Wurm against a team with a 6-foot-4 post. “We couldn’t feed it inside, they (Charter) were just too big. We played well, we just came up a little bit short.”
Alicia Heigis had five rebounds and Alexa Fitzpatrick a point for the Cats, who host Kootenai on Saturday.
