CLARK FORK — Facing arguably their toughest competition all year, the Wampus Cats came up short 67-38 against Cusick on Thursday night in boys hoops action.

Tristin Bristol scored 14 points and pulled down seven rebounds, and Brandan Bowen posted 11 points and three assists for the Wampus Cats (2-8), who played solid hoops despite the final score.

“They’re the best team by far we’ll play all season long,” said Cats head coach Corey Vogel of Cusick. “We played defense, fast-breaked and had a lot of assists. I think we’re back. The boys are having fun playing basketball.”

Clark Fork hosts Wallace on Tuesday in a North Star League tilt.
