Cusick sweeps Wampus Cats in doubleheader
CLARK FORK — Despite strong games from Annie Wurm and Lyndsie Kiebert, Clark Fork couldn’t match Cusick’s size and depth, falling 64-37 in nonleague girls basketball Thursday night at Clark Fork High School.
Lyndsie Kiebert tallied 20 points, five rebounds and two steals to lead the Wampus Cats (0-11), and Annie Wurm scored 10 points and held her own against a tall front court for Cusick.
“Annie worked hard against some big girls in there, I was happy with her play inside,” said Cats head coach Mark Stevens. “Lyndsie has been up around 20 points in her last three games, she’s figured out that she can do that on offense.”
Leslie Kiebert added seven rebounds and Wurm two assists in defeat, as the Cats kept the game close for much of the first half.
Clark Fork hosts Wallace on Tuesday.
