'Shock and awe' was just a publicity stunt
The shock and awe of the “Frontline Project” by the Abolitionist of North Idaho in front of Sandpoint High School and Sandpoint Middle School was nothing more than a publicity stunt, totally missing the mark of God’s glory and His mercy.
Scott, you wanted to “provoke discussion” about abortion but doing the shock and awe thing was off base. The discussion in which you should have provoked was the God factor … i.e. hates the sin but loves and forgives. Yes, the act of abortion is horrifying and the aftermath ramifications in some women’s lives are also horrifying. The goodness of God does bring about repentance. There was no sound goodness in your endeavors.
Scott, you also said that the goal was to “confront the darkness of abortion in the local community.” The last I heard there were no abortion clinics in Bonner County … thank God … and if there were I would assume many pro-lifers would be standing on the sidewalk outside the clinic weeping and praying.
Scott, your logo … first it looks like something from the Nazi Germany era and second the background picture in the logo is from Wikipedia … and I quote “1787 medallion designed by Josiah Wedgwood for the British anti-slavery campaign;” the medallion reads, “Am I not a man and a brother.” Abolitionist has to do with slavery. Your confusion is in need of a giant dose of U.S. history and of God’s love, mercy and grace!
And one last thing Scott, had my little granddaughters been riding in their folks vehicle and saw those pictures well let’s just say that you and me would have had a “come to Jesus meeting.”
