CLARK FORK — Brock Arthun had the hot hand, dropping in 27 points to lead Wallace to an 81-42 win over Clark Fork in North Star League boys basketball Tuesday night at Clark Fork High School.

The Miners (9-4, 3-1 NSL) jumped out quickly, building a 27-9 lead after the first quarter.

“They pressured us pretty good. We shot about 30 percent from the field, which has been our downfall,” said Cats head coach Corey Vogel. They were shooting and we weren’t. We need to have more confidence in our shots.”

Tristin Bristol posted 20 points and nine boards for the Wampus Cats (2-9, 0-3 NSL), and Nick Oas added four points and three assists.

“Tristin didn’t score in the first quarter, so he worked hard for his points,” said Vogel, whose team couldn’t stop Arthun. “He was shooting the lights out. He only missed six shots, and he made 11.”

Clark Fork plays at Lakeside on Friday.
