Men's disobedience prompted by dishonor
I want to add to Christie Pearson’ letter regarding the “big bang” theory versus God as Creator. It had a title, “Why was honor given to men and not God?” The question can be answered easily: men’s disobedience to God’s laws. To prevent people from believing the “big bang,” evolution and other false ideas, Jesus set aside one day of the week (the seventh) to honor Him as Creator and keep ever before us the power He has. To show how important this is for us, He engraved a commandment in stone, telling us to: “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy … for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day …” (Exodus 20:8-11)
Now this obviously was God’s idea; but men in the dark ages (about 300-400 A.D.) thought they had a better idea and chose a different day and reason for it, and most follow this tradition. But not all.
For even in little Clark Fork are a people who follow God’s plan and meet every Saturday morning to do this. I recommend that Christie, and others, seek them out and join them in telling the world that our God has made all of what we see around us.
