Bulldogs suffer tough loss to Cd'A in wrestling
SANDPOINT — Despite winning a dual meet, Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Moffat was not the most thrilled coach in the world.
Owen Stebbins (170 pounds), Scout Nash (120) won by pin and Lewis Dunton (145) and Casey Randles (160) won by major decision for Sandpoint, which competes in the North Idaho Rumble on Friday and Saturday at Coeur d’Alene High.
“I was disappointed in the way we wrestled,” Moffat said. “We’ve been giving a good effort in every match but we’re not real happy with how we wrestled. Hudson Staub had a good win (at 182 pounds). I’m hoping we’re hoping we’ll do better for our tournament this weekend. Give a lot of credit to Sandpoint. They were more aggressive than we were. Hopefully we can turn it around. Even though we won the dual, we got outwrestled.”
