Small-claims action grows

SANDPOINT — A small-claims suit against a Cocolalla business appears to be expanding into much costlier litigation.

The case began last year, when Sagle resident Michael Marzio sued his former employer, Wolf People, for allegedly failing to reimburse him for maintenance and repairs to his truck, which was used for business operations.

Wolf People fought the claim, contending Marzio was a disgruntled former independent contractor who did not have carte blanche to run up company expenses. The company also accused Marzio of theft.
