Developer files federal lawsuit against Hope

HOPE — A developer filed a federal lawsuit against the city Wednesday for refusing to grant a conditional-use permit to redevelop the site of Murphy’s Lounge into four duplex housing units.

MountainWest Ventures is seeking more than $1 million in damages against the city for allegedly violating its procedural due process rights, in addition to other claims.
