Local tennis players fine-tune their game at academy

More than 20 kids took part in the annual Sandpoint Tennis Academy, put on by Sandpoint Hight School head tennis coach Kent Anderson.

The camp featured current and future SHS players, as well as players from Colorado and Washington. Cici Rickert, a former tennis player at the University of Minnesota and the daughter of Anderson, local standout Tish Litven and John Gant were guest coaches, joining a host of guest feeders for the week-long camp.

“Everyone can play, there’s a lot of great hitters,” said Anderson. “When we teach them something different, they get it.”
