SANDPOINT — The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding a hit-and-run collision on Lake Pend Oreille on Thursday.

Sheriff’s officials said a 20-foot Chaparral water skiing boat was struck broadside by a personal watercraft near Contest Point at about 3:45 p.m. The ski boat was floating in the water while its two occupants lunched in the back seat.

The personal watercraft that hit the powerboat was described as black and green in color. Its operator was described as a summer-tanned male in his early 20s with short dark hair and square sunglasses.
