SANDPOINT — An Oldtown wrecking yard operator accused of possessing methamphetamine and stolen vehicles has lost his appeal.

Dennis Earl Hiebert was charged in 2011 with seven counts of grand theft by possession and one count of felony drug possession. Deputies went to the business after receiving a tip that two fugitive felons were holed up there.

Deputies approached a building at the front of the property and knocked on the door, but got no response. Deputies walked further into the property, passing signs advising that trespassing and through-traffic was prohibited.

In prior visits to the business, deputies encountered workers in the back of the junkyard, according to court documents.
