SANDPOINT — The legacy of former Sandpoint mayor Marsha Ogilvie is set to become a part of every beach-goer’s summer fun this Friday.

The City Beach concessions stand, commonly known as the Snack Shack, will be re-dedicated this Saturday as Marsha’s Snack Shack in honor of the local business owner, philanthropist and city official who passed away in January following a battle with lung cancer.

To commemorate the moment, city officials are hosting a dedication ceremony Friday morning. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. with tours of the facility and complimentary snow cones to follow. Everyone is welcome to attend the event.
