SANDPOINT — Late mayor Marsha Ogilvie will always have a place at City Beach with the dedication of the new and improved Snack Shack.

City officials met Friday at the public park to rededicate the concessions building as Marsha’s Snack Shack. A passion project for Ogilvie, the Snack Shack received a thorough renovation in the spring of last year under the direction of Ogilvie and Sandpoint Parks and Recreation director Kim Woodruff. In honor of Ogilvie’s enthusiasm for the the store, as well as her other achievements for Sandpoint, Mayor Carrie Logan officially renamed the building.

“It was of utmost importance to Mayor Ogilvie that visitors to the beach were treated to fun, delicious snacks served with a smile in a clean, modern building worthy of our beautiful town,” Logan said in her proclamation.
