Local golfers shine at Elks Junior Golf Classic

SANDPOINT — There was a great turnout of local golfers recently at the Fourth Elks Junior Golf Classic, which featured an 18 hole golf scramble. The fundraising tournament benefits the Hook a Kid on Golf program, part of the highly-successful Sandpoint Elks Youth Golf Program.

The winning team of Ashlyn Darling, Ethan Darling, Ted Bricker and Russ Brisboy carded a 60. Both of the Darlings are graduates of Hook a Kid on Golf, where area youth get a free set of clubs and the chance to learn the life sport.
