Crosswalk is key for pedestrian safety

I would like to thank the city of Sandpoint for the most recent addition to public safety.

I was surprised to see a crosswalk painted on the roadway at the intersection of Ontario and Division as I biked with my child to school. Not only was a much-needed crosswalk installed but corresponding signs were also posted on either side of the intersection warning drivers on Ontario to cautiously proceed.

Thank you to the city of Sandpoint and the Pedestrian Advisory Committee for a job well done at a busy intersection.
