'Old white men' founded America
In response to Robert Wright’s thorny letter several days ago, I would remind the author that it was a collection of “old white men” that founded the greatest nation in history. You know, guys like Washington, Jefferson, Madison, etc.
Mr. Wright continued his letter by lambasting Republicans and Fox News, sort of like MSNBC, MediaMatters, Moveon.org, and the rest of the far-left propaganda cabal do on a daily basis. He is correct about the GOP getting ready to launch a campaign against Hillary Clinton if she decides to run, which if I recall was what Obama successfully did back in 1968. And it wasn’t pretty.
I guess Mr. Wright forgot that while John Kerry was being swift-boated by veterans, NBC was “swift-boating” President Bush’s military record on falsities that would sink a ship.
Kerry of course was the guy who dishonored his comrades in arms, throwing his medals and ribbons toward John Marshall’s statue decades ago. He made a big show of it before or after his uncomplimentary remarks about the troops in Vietnam. Lots of folks never forgot that. Hillary of course has a lot of baggage herself and politics being what it is will run its unpleasant course. However, why demean rural women which North Idaho is teeming with? I suppose it gave Mr. Wright heart-cockle satisfaction to lump all rural women into the “mousy” bag?
