Stand up paddleboard class offered in Sandpoint

SANDPOINT — Come try out the hottest trend on the water. Action Water Sports (AWS) is now offering a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) class for youth ages 12-18 years-old.

The class will take place Tuesday, July 1 at AWS (100 N. 1st Ave.) from 10-11 a.m. Paddle boards are a great way to get some exercise, improve your balance, and take in the sites.

All participants must be advanced swimmers. Bring swim wear; you might go for a dip. Participants are to meet at AWS thirty minutes before the class starts.

The class fee is $12 ($2 city discount) and AWS can take a minimum of five and a maximum of seven participants in this class, so register early. Make-up sessions for weather will be held on July 2 from 10-11 a.m., if needed.

Preregister by Thursday, June 26 at Sandpoint Parks and Recreation, 1123 Lake St.
