Calling all Sandpoint Hoopfest 25 players
SANDPOINT — For one weekend anyway, the streets of Spokane will be transformed into the 3-on-3 street ball Mecca of the United States, as the 25th annual Hoopfest returns for another great year of action.
Per usual, a host of Sandpoint ballers will be making the drive south for the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world, featuring more than 7,000 teams on 450 courts spanning more than 40 city blocks.
Several Sandpoint teams have won their brackets in the past few years, and this year figures to be no different, as hoopsters young and old enjoy the game in its best setting — outdoors.
Hoopfest will feature the usual assortment of pull up and step back jumpers, jimmy hooks, finger rolls, hack jobs, give and gos, pick and rolls and of course, many an and-one.
As always, the Daily Bee will publish any and all photos submitted next week, so don’t forget the cameras.
How will your team do? Let the Bee know next week. Please send team photos or action shots, with names, results and highlights, to “eplummer@bonnercountydailybee.com.”
Check ball.
