SANDPOINT — A burglary suspect told Sandpoint Police on Tuesday that he was forced at gunpoint to commit the crime by an unnamed accomplice.

Joseph Raymond “Trey” Deveney III was arrested for burglary and grand theft. He was also charged with resisting arrest for making no less than two escape attempts during the investigation, according to Sandpoint Police reports.

Judge Debra Heise sustained Deveney’s $30,000 bail on Wednesday and appointed a public defender to represent him, court records show.
