SANDPOINT — Sandpoint’s Farli Boden, 13, originally registered to race as a junior at the recent U.S. Telemark National Championships at Bromley Mountain and Haystack Mountain in Vemont.
Without enough junior racers to compete against in the niche sport, Boden decided to ramp it up and race against the top women in the country, more than holding her own in the Women’s Expert division, placing fifth and sixth in most of the races. Not to be outdone, Farli’s father, Tim Boden, raced in the Men’s Citizen division and was crowned national champion.
