Head on over to library for great jazz

| March 18, 2014 7:00 AM

Attention jazz fans:

Recently I donated a copy of a book I wrote (published by Round Bend Press) to our East Bonner County Library for its collection. The book is titled “A Journey into Jazz” and is filled with photos I had taken of jazz musicians since 1967. The book also includes stories about my interaction with many of these great musicians and the music itself.

Also the library recently added to its DVD collection a couple of jazz videos. One is of John Coltrane when he appeared on Ralph Gleason’s TV show “Jazz Casual” (series ran from 1960-1968) and the other is titled “One Night with Blue Note” which features many of the great jazz musicians who recorded with the Blue Note label in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
