LPOW seeks contest votes

SANDPOINT — Online voting could be the key to a new Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeeper program that will recruit boaters to the cause of clean local waters.

The local conservation organization is in the running for a $10,000 grant from the BoatUS Foundation. After being selected as a nominee for its 2014 Grassroots Grants Program, organization officials are mobilizing supporters to bring out the votes.
