Bears down Bulldogs in opener

RATHDRUM — Talon Dewey ripped two hits, including a double, but Sandpoint could not hold a lead in a 7-4 loss to Moscow on Tuesday in the opener of the 4A Region 1 baseball tournament at Gorton Field in Rathdrum.

The Bulldogs (2-16) scored four runs in the third inning to take a 4-2 lead, surprising Moscow (8-12), which beat the Bulldogs by a combined score of 29-4 in the previous league doubleheader.
