Trio of Wampus Cats ready for state track meet

CLARK FORK — Fresh off a season-best jump of 14-0 in the pole vault, Clark Fork senior Brennan Brooks is hoping to contend for a state title, when the 1A state track meet kicks off Friday in Boise.

Brooks tied with Kootenai’s Carter Napriela at 14 feet, but finished second at the district meet due to more attempts. The two figure to battle once again at state, as the North Star League features two of the best pole vaulters in the 1A ranks.
