Sudick, Bailey lead county races

SANDPOINT — Incumbent District 1 Commissioner Glen Bailey claimed a win over Marcia Phillips and Todd Sudick won in a close race with Victoria Zeischegg for the District 2 seat.

Bailey amassed 2,801 votes to Phillip’s 1,700 for the Republican nomination with all 33 precincts reporting. Republican Patricia Palmer had picked up 405 votes despite not actively campaigning. Democrat Steve Johnson received 441 votes in an unopposed race for his party's seat.

In the District 2 face-off for the GOP nod, Sudick defeated Zeischegg 2,618-2,196 with 16 of 33 precincts reporting.
