It's not necessary to kill old to have new

The work on Fourth Avenue is continuing. On Second and Third avenues, there were no large trees to destroy. Are they going to put plants on this street, too?

If so, it is doubtful that those old tree roots will survive all of that deep digging. Those lovely Sycamores and other trees are so beautiful for our city. Please be careful with them. It is not necessary to kill the old just to have something new.
