Levy drove up voter turnout

SANDPOINT — Voter turnout was slightly higher than it was during the 2012 primary election, according to the Bonner County Clerk’s Office.

There were 22,023 registered voters heading into the election and 6,991 ballots were cast, resulting in a turnout of 31.7 percent, according to an election abstract compiled by Clerk Ann Dutson-Sater.

The primary turnout in 2012 was 30.24 percent.
