Lake Pend Oreille could exceed flood stage
SANDPOINT — Lake Pend Oreille could surpass flood stage and may need to be drafted in June, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The current water supply for April through July is 14,931 acre feet, or about 127 percent of average.
Up until Friday, only 5,218 acre feet had passed Albeni Falls Dam, meaning 65 percent of the forecast volume is still upstream of the dam, the corps said.
