Bowen, Stevens power Wampus Cats to victory

| November 1, 2014 7:00 AM

PLUMMER — The Wampus Cats had only eight healthy players suit up for the season finale Friday night in Plummer, but two of them were seniors Brandan Bowen and Wyatt Stevens, playing spirited in their last high school football game.

Bowen scored seven touchdowns, Stevens added two more, and the Wampus Cats ended the season on a high note, dispatching Timberline 66-36 in a White Star League game at Lakeside High School in Plummer.

“I’m sure proud of the boys. It was a gutsy performance to finish out the season with a huge win,” said Arthun. “To go 4-3 in conference, I can’t say enough about how proud I was of them.”
