Bailey, Rosedale cruise to victory

| November 6, 2014 6:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Bonner County voters opted to stay the course on the county commission, but chose a different path in the clerk’s office.

Incumbent Republican Commissioner Glen Bailey secured more than 60 percent of the vote on Tuesday to win election to the post.

Bailey was appointed to the position in 2013 after Joyce Broadsword resigned to take a position with the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare.

Bailey, who clinched the GOP nomination in the primary, picked up 7,563 votes when the dust settled on the election at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
