SANDPOINT — The officer-involved shooting outside Bonner General Health last July has been ruled a justifiable homicide, according to Sandpoint Police Chief Corey Coon.

The determination was made by Kootenai County Prosecutor Barry McHugh, who reviewed investigative materials from the Bonner County Sheriff's Office and Idaho State Police.

Jeanetta Marie Riley, 35, was shot to death by Sandpoint Police after allegedly advancing on officers while armed with a knife.

A press release is expected to be released today.
