We need to say no to a second train track

| November 6, 2014 6:00 AM

Not taxes, gentrification, nor government encroachment. Not public schooling, fiat currency, nor Californication. None will undermine the tranquility of Sandpoint life or the momentum of the Sandpoint brand as much as train noise.

I used to love trains. The clickety-clack of steel on steel. The distant horn. The moving eye scan of slow-moving shapes and their cryptic lettering. Even the whiff of train grease. Each evokes a visceral tie to old America.
