SANDPOINT — Sandpoint senior outside hitter Taylor Martin swatted a team-high 295 kills to earn Most Valuable Player of the 4A Inland Empire League volleyball team, part of a strong contingent of Bulldogs named to the team, as voted on recently by the league’s coaches.

Martin also posted 250 digs, 36 aces and 17 blocks on the year, and drew the interest of a few colleges along the way.

Senior Trinity Young led the Bulldogs with 268 digs to go with 31 aces, and her back line defense and hustle kept her team in a lot of matches. Young was also the lone Bulldog named to the 4A All-State Tournament team, garnering second team honors as a libero.
