Lippi's novel takes bell-bottom tour of Europe

SANDPOINT — Pam Lippi has done what most aspiring writers only dream about: When the idea for a great novel popped into her head, she didn’t just talk about it and let it go, she sat down and wrote a book.
Her novel, “Sky Blue Pink,” will be released in a couple of weeks. The writing, editing and book preparation it took to get to that point lasted approximately five years.
It tells the story of two teenage girls off on a European trip of a lifetime. Based in large part on the author’s own experience, “Sky Blue Pink” takes readers on a whirlwind jaunt through England, France, Germany, Switzerland and finally to Italy, where the story’s protagonist finds romance.
