Opinion is opinion but facts need to be proved

A recent letter in the Bee supported a ban on same-sex marriage. Certainly everyone has a right to an opinion on this controversial issue. However, when “facts” are stated to support an opinion-those facts deserve scrutiny. So I did some research.
