RATHDRUM — Senior midfielder Nacho Pino scored two unassisted goals, leading the Lakeland Hawks past the Sandpoint Bulldogs in a 4A Inland Empire League match on Thursday at Rotary Park.
Lakeland (4-8, 1-2 4A IEL) scored a key win in a wide open race to host districts.
“Sandpoint is a great team, always is,” Hawks coach Andrew Craig said. “They definitely played strong and had a couple of good challenges that if they would have gotten a goal or two, the momentum would have shifted.”
