Health care will drive economic growth

SANDPOINT — With big changes set for Idaho health care, local economic advisers are helping residents prepare their finances.

The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce’s annual economic summit, an event co-hosted by D.A. Davidson and Associates, focused on the growing changes to health care, which stand to be a major economic driver both locally and on a national scale. To illustrate both ends of the spectrum, Terri Fortner of Bonner General Health, Kevin Knepper of Kaniksu Health Services and Scott Dunn of Family Health Center of Sandpoint provided overviews of their organizations and the upcoming changes posed by the continued roll-out of the Affordable Care Act.
