Miners tame Wampus Cats

WALLACE — Leslie Kiebert hit a team-high 12 kills, but a slow start proved costly for the Wampus Cats, who lost 25-14, 25-11, 20-25, 25-18 to the Miners (10-2, 8-0 NSL) on Thursday night in North Star League volleyball action at Wallace High School.

Allison Warner finished with 14 set assists for the Wampus Cats (3-13, 1-7 NSL), Hope Kinney added five kills, Nikki Vandenhouten three kills, Sarah Holderman three blocks and Nona Young eight assists in the loss.
