Lions offer free health screenings to community
SANDPOINT — Mike Parker has been hauling around the Northwest Lions Foundation’s health screening unit for 15 years and aside from Interstate 5 traffic, he’s got no complaints.
“There’s really not too much I don’t like about the job. I have a pretty nice rig to drive and my wife goes with me,” Parker said while en route to Sandpoint on Wednesday.
The Lions Health Screening Unit will be stationed at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2453 at 1325 Pine St. today and Friday. From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., free health screenings will be provided for blood pressure, diabetes, in addition to sight and hearing ailments.
