Bulldog girls down Hawks in home opener

SANDPOINT — Emily Hieronymus, Emily Deitz, Payton Bokowy, Catherine Brenner and Kate Matlosz each won events, leading the Bulldog girls to a convincing win over Lakeland in a home-opening swim dual on Wednesday at the Sandpoint West Athletic Club.

Ben Reich and Seth Bamer won events for the Bulldog boys, in what Bulldogs head coach Mike Brosnahan termed a “building meet,” where the team was less concerned about winning and more concerned about improving in certain areas.

The Bulldogs will compete in a four team meet at the Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene on Sept. 20.
