SANDPOINT — Before a downtown streets plan is set in stone, local state and county officials are urging invested parties to slow down and have all information on hand.

Rep. George Eskridge, R-Dover, and Bonner County Commissioner Glen Bailey met with representatives of ITD and Bonner County Area Transportation Team for an update on the effort to reconfigure Sandpoint’s downtown streets and highway system. According to Eskridge, he’s heard some concerns about the proposal and hopes to ensure the process unfolds smoothly and deliberately, with plenty of information available for all impacted organizations.

“I’m naturally curious about this proposal and feel responsible as to where it might go,” Eskridge said.
