Lake City sweeps Bulldog girls

COEUR d’ALENE — Natalie Taylor totaled 15 kills, 10 digs and three aces as the host Timberwolves  swept the Bulldogs 25-21, 28-26, 25-18 in nonleague volleyball play on Thursday night at Lake City High School.

Macy DeCoeur had eight kills and two blocks, Brittany Gay seven kills for Lake City (2-2).

Laney Search tallied eight kills, nine digs and three aces to lead the Bulldogs (6-3), while Taylor Martin added five kills and 11 digs, Kayla Neumann seven kills and four blocks and Darby Scrimsher 24 set assists and 13 digs.

“Tonight we beat ourselves and didn’t play as one unit,” described Bulldogs head coach Erin Roos, lauding the steady play of Lexi Riley. “Looking forward to the opportunity to work out some kinks and get into a rhythm this Saturday at the Lakeland invite.”

Sandpoint went 5-1 at the Lewiston Invite, beating Genessee in a third set tie-breaker, not 4-2, as previously reported in the Bee.

Sandpoint is at the Lakeland Invite on Saturday.
