Otter's actions hurt both state, residents

| September 18, 2014 7:00 AM

Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter’s refusal to expand Medicaid and accept federal funds under the Affordable Care Act is costing Idaho millions while depriving citizens of needed health care. More than 100,000 uninsured Idahoans would qualify for health care coverage, and state and local taxpayers would save $44 million in 2016 if our governor and the Idaho Legislature accepted this plan, according to a working group report.
