Couch scores twice in but Bulldogs' loss

LEWISTON — Junior Riley Couch scored her first two goals of the season, but it wasn’t enough, as the Bulldog girls lost 3-2 to one of the strongest teams the Bengals have put on the pitch in years on Thursday in nonleague girls soccer at Lewiston High School.

Sandpoint (1-5-1) head coach Conor Baranski was impressed with Lewiston, but felt his team could have gotten more out of the game.

“That is the best Lewiston team I have ever played against. I was very impressed with their organization and overall skill,” said Baranski. “I thought our defense was disorganized tonight. When we score two goals, we should not be losing the game.”
