CLARK FORK — Facing a strong eight man football team from Washington is tough enough, but when only nine players suit up it gets even tougher, as Clark Fork found out in a 44-8 loss to Selkirk on Friday night in Clark Fork.
The Wampus Cats (2-2) put up a game effort, moving the ball down the field effectively, but were unable to finish drives.
“The score wasn’t indicative of how the game went. We moved the ball up and down the field, got in the red zone four times and didn’t score,” said Wampus Cats head coach Brian Arthun. “The guys came out and competed hard, we just need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot.”
