Give yourself a shot and get flu vaccine
I got mine. Now I’m reminding you to get yours. You read the headline, so you know I’m talking about your flu shot. I thought I was a bit early, but I’m traveling this month and wanted to make sure I got protected from any viruses that might be lurking on airplanes.
However, the nice pharmacist who administered the vaccine said that it’s not too early. He said that he got his the end of August when the vaccine was first made available. So, my dear readers, there is no reason to procrastinate and lots of reasons to get one.
The Centers for Disease Control says that everyone, that’s you, too, over six months of age should get the flu vaccine. For every rule there’s an exception and they are if you have a severe allergy to chicken eggs, a history of severe reaction to a flu vaccination, a moderate-to-severe illness with a fever (get well and then get shot) or a history of Guillain-Barre Syndrome you should not get one.
