SANDPOINT — Libraries nationwide are celebrating Banned Book Week, and East Bonner County Library is no exception.

In a week-long event the library is paying special attention to books that have been targeted by offended groups and individuals for potential banning. Of particular interest this year are graphic novels, which have earned great respect for literary merit but still are among the most attacked books of the year. These and several other frequently-challenged books will be on display at East Bonner County Library until Saturday. As always, they’ll be available for checkout, too.
