Vikings sweep Bulldogs in IEL swim dual

SANDPOINT — Seth Bamer set personal bests in winning the 50 free and the 100 back, and Ben Reich set a personal best in winning the 100 free to lead the Bulldogs in a swimming dual with Coeur d’Alene on Wednesday in Inland Empire League action at the Sandpoint West Athletic Club.

Miles Luce finished with two seconds, as the Bulldog boys couldn’t match the Vikings’ depth.

Emily Hieronymus won the 50 free, Payton Bokowy the 100 free and Emily Deitz the 100 back to lead the Bulldog girls, who were edged by just two points as two of the top girls teams in the state went head to head.

Sandpoint hosts Post Falls on Oct. 8.
