Great news abounds on the local cross country front

SANDPOINT — The No. 1 ranked and defending state 4A champion Bulldog girls cross country team placed first in the large school division and second overall to Sehome, a Bellingham power with seven state championships since 2006, at last week’s Runner’s Soul Invite.

The Bulldog boys continue to pack up well, and just need to move that pack ahead about 30 seconds by state. The Bulldog boys had three runners in the pack with colds last Saturday, so expect them to make a good jump in the next few weeks. They were first in the large school division and sixth overall at Runner’s Soul.
